Question / Help Massive Frame Drop

Hi guys.

I need some help.

I've been getting huge frame drop over the past week. Been fine streaming before then too.

I've been getting about 50% frame drop on a 720p stream at 30fps.

I'm running:
i7 6700k
16gb of 2666mhz Ram
Msi 4g 970 gtx

http://www.speedtest.net/result/5980728067.png <-- my speed test i did at point of doing stream.

I've also attached the file from logs..

The main thing is.. (And i know what your gonna say) that its NOT my connection.

I tried streaming off of my capture card (Avermedia Live Gamer HD) and i get a smooth stream.

I dont use that as i like my scene transition from obs.

Does anyone know how i can fix this??

Edit. I've also tried OBS for streaming using the same config where possible as bits on OBS Studio..

Obs holds stable at 1% frame drop. Obs Studio has a 50% frame drop.. So something wrong with OBS Studio causing a conflict

already done that. its an issues with Obs Studio..

Streamed for 5 hours a moment ago on OBS classic and no single frame drop.

not a internet or bandwidth issue

Next time read the post when i said its not an internet issue

Can you post a different log to check info about your scenes?

Heres a log from OBS classic. there is something in studio that classic doesn't have causing this issue.. i just dont know what. the only option i saw that was in classic and not in studio is Multithread optimizations

Thanks,

Did you run OBS Studio 16 and if so did you have any issues? your currently running OBS studio 17 the latest is 17.0.2.

I've taken a look but nothing here stands out me to me, I'm presuming in classic you are streaming to London ingress also? In classic your settings aren't the same they are 1080@ 30 fps 3000 bitrate and studio 720p @ 30fps 2500 bitrate, so not a like for like, classic if anything should be showing more drops / lags and its not from my point of view.

As @EBrito has suggested can you post the output from the twitch bandwidth tester, this will eliminate any concerns. Sky BB doesn't have the best reputation for an issue free connection.

I've not use classic for a while but maybe someone else can confirm if its less sensitive to packet drops than studio?

@Genevensis You were showing packet drops to google via a standard ping, so somewhere you are losing network traffic. though the Twitch BT was giving you some 100 quality's.

Classic buffer frames, Studio just drop frames in cae of problems.
Network layer is not the same.

Studio has fixed settings (64K TCP Window, for instance) and, for now, has no "Minimize network impact" as Classic

In other similar posts, changing Twitch ingest server and / or configuring conection with TCPOptimizer has produced benefits.

But surely i should be seeing more issues on Classic than studio.

I've changes ingress servers.. not difference.

I've actually tried doing the test streams that hide it for twitch inspector..

I've only had a image up.. no video.. no sound.. 50% frame drop.. So there is something going on with studio..

I'll revert back to 16.. any recommended version to go with thats stable??

I was on 17 as it was a fresh install. had issues on 17.0.2 and thought it was the update so wiped all data on it and reinstalled 17 (which has been stable on this pc)

I keep getting this on all my logs for OBS Studio.. Could this be causing some of my issues and how can i fix it.. I've fresh installed Obs studio and run a test and still got it.

In my experience, always present since OBS 17.0.0 ????
But I have no problems.

Heritage of Browser source plugin.
Now included in OBS Studio. I think these lines should be removed from log.
So, NO PROBLEM.

Well i can't see why im getting 50% frame drop.. Seems like these are the only issues

I can stream fine with Obs with a 0.01% but Obs Studio has a 50% frame drop. I can't see why

How is it a network issue if Every other streaming program streams fine..

Obs Studio has all the features i need in a pretty bow.. but doesn't work.. and all i hear is its a network issue.. Yet i stream with Anything else (Tried Obs, Xsplit and Shadowplay) and i get No issues at all.. Its not a network issue.. Its an issue with the program..

I just can figure out if its conflicting with something or what not

OBS Studio uses fixed size TCP Window (that´s why I said 64K TCP for Twitch Tester)
This is different from Classic.

Ok.. Then how come Xsplit and Shadowplay and even my capture card (Avermedia Hd Gamer Live) all stream fine with no drop off??

And more to the point.. Why Did it work up until i had to reinstall a new OS (Same OS as before) and update my hardware.. to which the first 4 streams were perfect.. then it died

Their network layer has no fixed parameters, like OBS Classic.
I think OBS Studio will have "Reduce Network Impact" not so long, but there is no ETA.
