Hello, I would really appreciate any help I can get to fix this issue.
No matter what game I stream or play, I experience frame drops with OBS streaming my gameplay. From Hearthstone to Overwatch to H1Z1. H1Z1 has been the worst so far; off-stream I can hit over 200 fps and play very comfortably; but on stream my in-game fps can drop to 20, and is usually around 40~60 and is constantly varying. Stream quality seems smooth and nice, but mthe game feels very choppy to me due to the low fps count and it's difficult to play.
My setup is:
i7 6700 4.0ghz
gtx970
16gb ram
OBS is 720p/60fps/4.5k with everything else on default I think. I streamed Hearthstone at 1080p 60fps and experienced frame drops, and Overwatch on 720p 48fps and still experienced frame drops. I overclocked my CPU to 4.4mhz, and overclocked my GPU by 400(mhz) memory and 200 core clocks, and experienced almost no improvements to my in-game frames during stream, so I reverted the CPU overclock.
I stream with Twitch-Korea, so the reason I stream at 4.5k~ is because we all live nearby with good Internet connections and there should be no buffering issues with the viewers.
Here is the previous log of my stream: https://gist.github.com/23a1a95121c1905d8bece315861a6046
H1Z1 is on lowest quality, and I feel like I should be able to stream high quality with this set up without experiencing frame drops.
Thanks for reading and taking the time to reply.
