Question / Help Massive Encoding Lag with NVENC Encoder

So I tried some different settings and the auto config wizard also recommends using the NVENC encoder so I did. Before I changed the settings, I uninstalled and re-installed OBS Studio. Now the NVENC encoder can't encode my recordings without massive encoding lag. Is it something with my OBS settings or my game settings?

UPDATE: I messed around with the some settings both in OBS and in Windows 10.

The encoding lag isn't as bad, but I still shouldn't be getting that much I would think with my graphics card.
Please, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have to admit I'm not sure what to advise. It does not seem to me like you should be getting encoding lag in this situation.

Are you sure you have the latest drivers, and that your card is fully seated in the highest bandwidth slot available, and getting full bandwidth to your motherboard?

I checked to make sure I have the latest video driver and I even performed a fresh install of the graphics driver just to be sure.

On the card being seated properly in the motherboard, I do not know, but I have not had a crash since I installed it and all my games run phenomenally with great frame rates. I'll check my mobo manual to make sure I have the GPU seated in the proper slot and I'll also try to reseat the graphics card.

On the bandwidth getting to the GPU, how would I go about testing to make sure that the card is receiving all the bandwidth it's capable of?

GPU-Z can show this. I'm asking because I can't think of any other reason you'd be getting this performance from the NVENC encoder on this card, all other things being equal.

I tried running as administrator and it seemed to make it even worse. Thanks for the suggestion though.

Have you tried a run with this feature off? I can't remember, I think I suggested it but it may have been in another thread.
