Masked Cam on a blue background

Hi,
I'm new to OBS and tried to place a face cam on a blue background. I'm using a circle as a mask. Problem: The blue background shines through the face cam. Without the mask I have a clear video, but when using the mask my face is all blue.

Any idea?

It may still be interesting to have a screenshot of what that looked like, if you can reproduce it. It would have been hard to help without it anyway.
