Hi all. OBS newbie here. I'm posting as I can't find a simple and clear explanation online or via YT to resolve my problem.
I'm using OBS to capture a video playing in a browser and I need to be able to either mute or lower the sound coming out of my laptop so I don't bother people around me. However, when I mute or lower the laptop volume using the laptop buttons, this action also drops the desktop audio level. If I adjust the Windows system volume from 100% to zero whilst recording, that also takes the destop audio level to zero.
What settings do I need to change either in obs?
What settings do I need to change in Windows, if at all?
- I'm not streaming or using a microphone or headphones. Mix/Aux is therefore mute.
- OBS audio monitoring field is set to "monitor off". Is that correct?
- I'm using an Asus Vivobook M3500QA
- Windows 11 Home V.24H
Thanks Andrew
