Question / Help Make videos play on stream?

I didn't know how to word this to search it so sorry if this has been answered, but I watch Dansgaming a lot and whenever he gets a new subscriber or when he goes offline he plays a video and it seems he just switches to a different scene and it automatically plays. I know he uses Xsplit but is it something you can do with OBS or am i just not getting how it works. Sorry if I don't make any sense.
