Question / Help Make racing games look good on stream

Hey everyone!

So recently Forza Horizon 4 released and I love the game so far. Unfortunately, it doesn't really look that great on stream (I've attached two screenshots from my recent stream). Is there a way to make these fast games look better? I tried to increase the bitrate, but it doesn't seem to affect the live stream, it stayed at the previous bitrate and only applied the changed bitrate in VODs (which was quite weird). I also changed the CPU preset from veryfast to medium, but the stream begins to lag, if I do so. I've also attached my current OBS settings.

forza is close to beeing the worst thing to stream, i can only think about trackmania which would be worse to stream. At preset fast you look at ~20 mbit/s bitrate you would need for a clean picture and the only services that im aware of that allow such a high bitrate are smashcast and chatturbate. YouTube would also allow high bitrates but does always reencode and does this with to tight bitrate caps to give good quality.
So only solution would be to drop the resolution if you want to stay on twitch or change the plattform.
Sad that twitch always does limit us on quality

veryfast to medium is a huge leap. There's a lot more granularity to be had, and just going to fast or even faster is a noticeable improvement over veryfast.

That said, with the amount of foliage you're dealing with and the clashing elements the encoder has to deal with, you're most likely better off dropping to 720p and bumping your encoding quality as high as it can go there. 6000kbps is a very strict limit, and compressing 1080p60 fast action high-detail scenes is a very hard thing to do.
