Question / Help Major stream lag and low quality no matter the settings...

I have a pretty decent PC and I'm having these issues
#1: my cpu usage is almost always either 100 or super 90s
#2: the quality of the stream seems pretty low no matter the x274 preset
#3: there is a metric bleep load of frames being dropped though OBS shows no frames being dropped

Another thing I'm not sure what to do about is I game at 144hz but stream at the settings below and it's super just... bad.


SPECS: That matter
CPU: i7 6700k @4.6 Ghz
GPU: GTX 1070
Internet: 1000mbps up and down

Stream settings:
encoder: x264 (faster preset/super fast)
CBR: 3000 kbps
Encoded at 720p 60fps

Game I'm trying to stream is rainbow six siege

This was the one that was having the major issues I have other logs but that's just for me recording and that seemed fine. (I use H.264 for that)

Turn off multi-adapter compatibility in the game capture properties and try again.

Seems my issue resolved itself on the dropped frames... I'm still having major issues with quality still I even turned my preset all the way down to medium and it still looks super bad,

720p, 30fps, on the fast preset with x264 at 3000 bitrate (your final test in that log) should have looked just fine. Are you sure your expectations aren't just too high?

At first I thought the same thing I was expecting to much. But then insane a friend of mines stream and it looked night and day better than mine. He had lower settings and specs for his setup.
