Question / Help Main Level 3.1

Hello,

I'd would like to set the parameter of my video to Main Level 3.1
I've seen how to set the "main" but not the "3.1".

Whats that Main Level 3.1 for?

U can set up your Encoding Profile to "High" or to "Main". There are no Numbers to set up with it. Its not necessary.
 
My CDN provider tells me that if I want to stream my HLS on an Iphone 5, I sould set my encoder to Main Level 3.1.
With an Adobe FMLE encoder it's easy, but with OBS it seems to be a bit tricky.

@dping : you advise me to set Encoding Profile to Main ? and Custom X264 Encoder Settings to level=31 ? is it the good syntax ?

If that doesn't work, it might be level=3.1, try both, see which one works, unable to test from where I am.

Setting it to main is more important. the levels I believe are auto selected (could be wrong), but obviously you would need to ensure your output settings fall within the range of that level (720@30 at tops).

Oh and by the way, per spec, iphone 5 is supposed to support level 4.1
