Question / Help Mac Requirements

Hello. I have been doing some research and I haven't found any info about OBS on Mac Requirements. I'm running into some lag and I need help, so I can see what I need to upgrade on my Macbook. Here are my specs:

MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010)
Processor: 2,4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 320M 256 MB

Well...it's a pretty "old" rig for a Mac ! Your GPU is pre-Fermi, you got under 4GB of RAM & your processor is not even an i3...if your objective is to stream games from a Mac, I'll tell you to change your Mac ! ^^'
But to give you good advices, tell us what you want to stream, where & with which resolution. ;)

I'd like to stream Minecraft. Yes, I know I can stream directly from the game, but my Minecraft account just doesn't want to connect to my Twitch account. I got my settings on Minecraft set already to way to low and I still can't reach above 20FPS.

The built-in twitch streaming support in Minecraft stinks.
I am also using OBS for Minecraft.

Basic starting point: ultra fast, 750 stream, 854x480, display capture, 15 fps.

Once you can get something like that working, start improving your settings for better quality, and back off when it fails on you.

I stream with a Macbook Pro from the same year. Same processor and the same video card but I have 4GB ram is the only difference. I stream World Of Tanks Blitz from my iPad to my mac via Reflector and then use OBS for a Twitch stream.

I get a decent stream quality broadcast over Twitch with my setup. You can view previous broadcasts at my channel http://www.twitch.tv/str8upjack to get an idea of the quality I get and if it's better than what you are getting. My upload is very fast at 24000kbps but I keep my scaled resolution to 640x400 and encoding speed is set to very fast. My stream is set to 2500 kbps. Audio is set to 128kbps. It's definitely watchable but clearly sub-par when you compare it to other twitch streams.

Hi,

I've been live streaming at church, and the stream crashes about 10 minutes into the service, and again about 30 minutes after I reboot. When looking at the estimator, I can't put the mac parameters that I'm using in the estimator options. Some help please? Mac (mid 2010) parameters:

Processor: 3.2 Ghz Intel Core i3
Graphics: ATI Radeon HD 5670 512 MB
Memory: 24 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
