I solved it by using QuickTime Player's Record Audio function. I set up an Aggregate Device in Audio/MIDI Setup that has "USB Digital Audio" selected as the source. OBS's Mic/Aux is set to USB Digital Audio . Audio came through when I selected the Aggregate Device in QuickTimes's drop down menu.
