M1 Chip???

Hello - total amateur here. My laptop isn't cutting it - freezing with recording and live streaming, so I upgraded to a new macbook pro with the new M1 chip. Just ordered it. However, I am not sure if it is compatible with OBS? Anyone know? Anything else I need to know - I mean, did I get the wrong computer for the job? Sure hoping not...
 
have you searched in this forum for M1 and seen the replies to the many other threads on this topic? sorry not a Mac person so I don't know/care about the M1... I've just seen plenty of threads
