Question / Help Low Video Quality HELP!

Hello everyone, I want to make Videos for Youtube and I would like to use OBS for this.
I watched some Videos on Youtube about how to configurate OBS. I often used the settings they suggested in their Videos. But still I have low Quality in my recorded Videos and on youtube I can only upload them on 480p which is really low.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 videocard and Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790 CPU @3.60 GHZ

Change your output mode to simple, recording quality to indistinguishable, encoder to software low cpu use and format to flv.

Change your output resolution to match your base resolution.

Hey thank you for the quick advice! Any suggestions about the bitrate ?
I just tested your suggestions and I must give you a huge "thank you"! Its way better than before :) it could still be better but I think this is quite a good configuration to start with

You don't need to set a btirate with the settings I gave you. The encoder chooses a bitrate based on the quality target, frame rate and resolution.
