Question / Help Low Upload, lagspikes occur while streaming.

Hey there, I need some serious help with my stream, when I stream in the current settings I use, from time to time I get lagspikes caused by the stream, my ping goes to around 500-600 fps for some seconds and when I alt+tab to check obsproject, its blinking yellow and green, and its at around 600-900 kb/s.

The game I play is CS:GO, so I'm very ping dependant, the stream can be found here: http://www.twitch.tv/pythLFC

Stream session log: http://pastebin.com/PDw7Bjxj

Settings I use:

Server: Amsterdam, NL. (Not using Frankfurt since people told me it's bad.)
FPS: 45
Bitrate: 800
Quality: 6
CBR [X] , use CBR something [X]

Audio

Codec: ACC
Bitrate: 64

Resolution: 1024x768
Resolution Downscale: 1.50 (682x512) with Lanczos filter

x264 preset: veryfast
Keyframe timeinterval: 2

I dont use CFR, or CBR, tried em but didn't help my lag issues.

So how do I make it better without lagspikes? anyone help me pls :D

Hopefully I'll get this in order. Sincerely pyth!

Actually, you make it better by using CBR. VBR is spikey in nature; whenever the need arises, VBR's bitrate will go through the roof. And given your reasonably limited upload it's only natural that this comes at a ping cost ingame.

You could consider downscaling to whichever lowest resolution still allows you to use Lanczos. And then enabling CBR, CBR Padding and CFR (required by Twitch anyhow) to help stabilize the bitrate.

Yeah I've tried it, didn't help so much, anyone with other ideas? Also played with 30-40 fps didn't help me.

The problem is your low bitrate + short keyframe interval. Frankly, I suggest ignoring the keyframe interval of 2 seconds unless you really care that much about people being able to view on mobile. It does really awful things to low bitrate streams, unfortunately. Turn CBR back on, make sure you are using "Minimize Network Impact" in Broadcast settings, and try again.
