Question / Help Low Microphone Audio On Recording

Hey all, still new to program and while trying to make some test runs for end product quality, my mic audio from my recordings is drowned out by the game audio. I have even tried reducing capture audio down to 30% while leaving mic audio all the way up and even turning down the in game audio, and the end result is still the same. Any tips for a noob?

Are either of you using virtual audio cable or VBCables? If so there is an option in virtual audio cable to enable volume slider capability in the vac control panel.

If your not using VAC or anything a long those lines I'd suggestion right clicking on the audio icon in the taskbar and going to the recording section and checking the Levels panel to make sure the mic isn't set for a low volume level.

On Windows, right click the speaker icon in your task bar and go to "Recording Devices." In the properties of the mic you're using, there should be a "levels" tab where you can adjust global sensitivity and/or amplification.

Hope it helps!

If Kebab's suggestion doesn't work, there's a mic boost option in the audio settings in OBS. Simply change it from 1 to 2.
