Question / Help Low FPS in game

Hey guys I'm having a bit of trouble here. My FPS whenever I am out of a game is 28-30 but everytime I get in game it drops like crazy. I will have jumps from 15-24 and it fluctuates constantly. My FPS in the game itself is around 30 where i normally run at 60 about 99% of the time. I stream on twitch.tv but even when I am just previewing my stream in OBS the FPS drops and my stream is all choppy. My computer set up is; GeForce GTX 560, CORSAIR Vengeance 16GB, I can't remember the motherboard I have off the top of my head, and I have an Intel i7. My speed test showed that I have about 5.59 mb up. I'm new to streaming and if I left anything out let me know. Thank you for your help.

If you're using Monitor capture, make sure Aero is disabled. If you want to keep Aero enabled, use Window capture instead.

Is it a problem if I am using the 32 bit OBS and not the 64 bit OBS when my operating system is 64 bit?

Not necessarily, but you might get a slight performance improvement using 64bit OBS.

Use separate scenes for different sources (don't mix game capture and monitor captures in 1 scene for example) and lower the ingame graphics and your stream fps to 25.

No worries, it's a experimental and newer build of obs just extract it somewhere and run the 64bit version. remember to update the next stable build when there's one.
