Question / Help Low FPS for viewers

Hey guys,

I recently started streaming with OBS and I'd really like to go on with this.
A few friends of mine told me that my stream is lagging like sh** and I'm getting low FPS on stream BUT I really dont have low FPS in games. In LoL I still got around 150-200 FPS.
I always wonder how that can be.. >.<

My PC specs:

Win 7 Ultimate x64
AMD FX-6350 6-Core Processor with 3,9 GHz
16 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX260
My DL speed is 100MB/s and my UL speed is 6MB/s but i only use a bitrate of 2500 and a quality of 7.

Tell me if u need to know anything else about my settings.

Thank you!

I watched the stream on my Laptop, I don't experience laggs at all but my friends are.
And only in games, not if I show up youtube videos in like 1080p.

To get high FPS in LoL set your framerate cap to Benchmark :D this would help you out.

Can you link us some of your latest recorded videos on twitch?
And after work please upload a log file.

So far I am getting the impression that your graphics card is limiting you. If your log file looks similar to the one of ish, we will be more certain. OBS uses the gpu to capture at a high performance thus, if your gpu is already on its limit, it might not be as performant as the ingame capture of bo2 which probably just runs on your cpu.

Yea thought so, too.
But as I said on the other post, i just got this sine I updated OBS to the latest version.

If my GrapCard is at its limit, isn't there a way to give it like virtual ram?

If it is at its limit, its RAM isn't the issue, its performance is. As a whole. Which is more than just its RAM. So, no...

Anyhow, you can always just go back to a previous version of OBS if that worked out better for you and keep generating information/feedback for the developers in doing so. Let's say it is indeed OBS, the more data you can help collect, the better and more directly any issue can be addressed. So, feel free to do a comparative study between a version of OBS that was fine for you and this version.

Anyone can contribute to the development and improvement of OBS in their own way.
