Question / Help Low fps during streaming

So I recently wanted to try some streaming and during streaming using OBS I get low fps both in game and during streaming. The weird part is both my ingame fps counters are saying I get 70+ fps while it feels like 30. Not to mention my stream seems like its in slow mo and is irregular with fps and playback speed.

Heres some background info, I use a 1440p Monitor as my main and is where I play games.

Cpu: i7-6700k
Ram: 32gb @3000mhz
GPU: Evga gtx 1080 ftw

Also my internet has about a 11mbs upload and 115~mbs Download

did you downsize the stream to 1080p? or 720p? also make sure you Max bitrate is not over what Twitch or Youtube will let you have. also try using Nvidia NVENC. this is all in the Encoding tab and video tab. also try using Intel extreme tuner and CPUID_CPU-z to watch your system while you do this to see what is getting hit.. you might need to turn up your CPU alittle.. My 6700k is at 4.7GHZ and everything is smooth for me at 2160p.
