With my recent recordings its noticeable that its very laggy and only plays at 19fps. It used to run at a solid 60fps with changes from 60 to 55fps at some points. I do not know the cause of it and I've tried a handful of methods to solve this but nothing seems to work. I changed the settings and uninstalled and reinstalled it.

Specs:
12 GB RAM
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6500 CPU @ 2.50Ghz 2.59Ghz
64-bit system

Any help would be of value and If you could please help me out. I know many people have been suffering with this lately too. And immediate attention would be useful Thank you For reading.

Hi there! FPS drops like that are usually caused by your graphics card being overloaded.
As you're on Windows 10, you can open Task Manager and visit the Performance tab. That has a graph showing CPU, GPU and memory usage. Make sure none of them are hitting above 95%. If GPU is, for example, try lowering your game's graphical settings, enabling Vsync, the usual. If CPU usage is too high, try closing other programs, or go to Settings -> Advanced in OBS and raising the CPU priority of the encoder.
You can also go to View -> Stats in OBS, that window will tell you about rendering (GPU), dropped frames (network) and encoding (CPU) lag. Use that as well to determine how you can improve things based on your hardware.

If you'd like us to provide further details on how to solve your issue, please post a clean log file. To make a clean log file, first restart OBS, then start your stream/recording for ~30 seconds and stop it again. Make sure you replicate any issues as best you can, which means having any games/apps open and captured, etc. When you're done select Help > Log Files > Upload Current Log File. Copy the URL and paste it here.
