Question / Help Low desktop audio in recording

I'm having an issue with the volume. I can't have more than 30 % volume in pulseaudio or my headphones will be too loud. This makes desktop sounds almost silent in recordings. I got 100 volume inside OBS. If I raise the volume meter in pulseaudio the recording volume will go up as well to an accepted level - but now I can't use my headphones.

Is it possible to audio boost OBS in some way without affecting actual sound output?

Yes it's inside OBS: in the main window, just on top of the zone where you set your sound volumes.
(or you can go in "Edit" > "Advanced Audio Properties")

I must be blind.

OBS 0.6.4 ?!? It was 4 months & 7 releases ago...you must update: we're at 0.8.3 now ! I think you should be able to use "obsproject/obs-studio" PPA to get an updated version

I thought it was strange. I added the PPA a few months ago, did it get changed? Anyways I'll get right to it and return with results!

Ok ! Add kirillshkrogalev/ffmpeg-next PPA too to get FFmpeg if you don't. (Don't forget to remove/purge the ancient PPA you used for FFmpeg if you want to change)
