Have a separate rig for streaming. The specs are:
OS: Windows 10 x64
MB: Asus Prime X399-A
CPU: AMD Ryzen 1950X
GPU: MSI Aero GTX 1080
RAM: Corsair DDR4 2400MHz
HDD: Corsair 250GB SSD
PSU: Corsair 750W
Trying to stream (1080p@60fps) at or above H.264:"ultrafast" preset and record (1440p@60fps) Nvenc: "High Performance" simultaneously.
Low (20%) CPU usage and low (20%) GPU usage when doing this exactly.
Elgato's 4k capture utility works very well, and when using OBS just to stream or just to record is fine.
Would like to use H.264 to record as well at 1440p60fps while streaming with H.264, but the CPU and GPU usage stay the same, and the lag is still there.
The source signal is 1440p@144hz, but OBS should only account for 60fps, and that's what the output FPS in OBS is set to.
Only way to avoid lag in the output stream and recorded file is to set the following:
Stream:
720@60fps
encoder: h.264
preset: ultrafast
second preset option: high
Recording:
1440p@60fps
encoder: Nvenc
preset: High Performance
Once again, this rig contains a 1950X (16 core CPU) and a GTX 1080.
Do I need to download the AMD ryzen software to switch from "Creative Mode?"
Game Mode and GameDVR are disabled.
