Question / Help Loud pop with push to talk.

Whenever I use the Push To Talk button on OBS, I get a quick loud pop right as I hit the button. While it could be my shit microphone, I don't encounter this issue in Teamspeak, or Vent, or anything else that uses push to talk. Is there something I'm simply doing wrong? I can't leave my microphone active 24/7 because of constant background noise, my typing, and the fact my microphone is omni-directional and crap, so if I stay quiet for a long period of time, it starts picking up every sound known to man in my room.

We really have next to nothing to go on to advise you on this, based on what you told us. Its not a known issue and shouldn't happen. If your mic is shit, I advise getting a better one. Also, try using the noise gate feature.

Well sorry for having an issue? No need to be so snippy, for real. After Googling I discovered that no, I'm not the only one, and it is still unresolved in each one of these cases. Sorry you had a bad day though.

You googled your mic model or did a search on these forums for similar cases (and with Google instead of the forum's built-in search? Or are you using google as a synonym for searching?)? Mind sharing links to the other unresolved cases?

We still have nothing to go on: No log file. No idea which (self-described) shitty microphone you're using. No idea who all these other people are with the same issue. Not even a link to a recording or VoD demonstrating the problem. Sorry, I broke my crystal ball with my snippiness and now it doesn't work any more. :(
