Hi I'm having a lot of trouble with obs studio. Whenever I record a video it's starts of great but get worse over time. In the log file I see a lot of dropped frames. I'm using mirillis action but want to use obs because the quality of the recordings is much better. Is my pc too slow for a recording to a harddisk? Mirillis action (amd vce) works fine but is sometimes still pixelated when there is a lot of dark colors (smoke for example). I'm using the indistinguishable preset. Do I need to record on 30fps or is it still an option to record in 60 fps. Or less quality preset? Mirillis action uses a bitrate of 25000~30000 is this really too low or am I just picky :) I hope i can get better quality with obs I'll include a log file. x264 is only an option on ultrafast crf15 but not all games like that (obs uses 25-30% cpu). Any advice if I should use x264 or amd vce and what setting?

cpu: amd fx-8120@4.3ghz
ram: 16gb
gpu radeon r9-290x

Thanks for the info, but how do I install this codec? It has no install like previous version and unpacking in root directory seems to do nothing. What folder to use? bin, data, obs-plugins? Enclosed the extracted folder of the downloaded plugin, but these folders don't match anything in obs studio?

thank you so much! I've been searching all day for an updated version but couldn't find it. I'll try it out and hope it's an improvement!
