I'm getting more grey hairs by the minute.
I use the elgato hd60s and chat link cable to connect to my PS4 controller and stream through OBS. This is how I've streamed an captured ALL audio for almost a year now.
All of a sudden, the audio stopped playing through the elgato when I plugged in the chat link to controller. Now, when i unplug the chat link/headset (which is plugged into the female port of the chat link) from the controller, I can see the audio mixer picking up the audio, but I can't hear anything b/c nothing is plugged into controller.
The only changes I made were in headset- I went from a standard wired Turtle beach headset to an Astro a40 with mix amp, but ran into issues with that b/c of the usb connection and optical cable making the sound muffled and unclear- which makes for a low quality sound to the stream. I plugged my old headset in to find the issue with elgato only capturing the audio when chat link IS NOT plugged into controller. I'm so lost and confused. I made sure to change the ps4 setting back to original audio (sound input and output to HDMI versus the tv/amplifier needed for astro mix amp).
Anyone know what in the devil's blazes is going on?
