Losing capture device when closing OBS

Hi all,

When I close out and reopen OBS on my laptop, it loses my audio capture device. I have to unplug it and plug back in with app open and then it will come back on. I’m using a SoundBlaster G3 external sound card and have a mixing board plugged into that. I’ve been using OBS for 4-5 months now and this is a new problem that just started. Don’t know whether to look at the software, the computer, or the capture device. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Just bumping this back to the top. Anyone have suggestions for this issue? Just tried uninstalling/reinstalling OBS and that did nothing for me. Laptop indicates drive is working fine but don’t know if that is reliable or not since it is an external drive. Thanks for any help
