Losing audio after stopping then starting recording

So I stop my recordings every so often like between matches and such. Lately I have noticed that after stopping my recording, I lose audio on some or all of my sources.

Not sure whats really going on. A restart of OBS seems to fix, but I do have to go in to the audio sources and make sure they are properly selected again.

I am using the application audio capture (beta) to get my game audio and discord audio so that I can have them on different tracks to edit them as needed for video editing. This issue just started happening about 2 weeks ago.

I have deleted the scene and re-setup everything in hopes that it was a change I made that I was unaware of, but it has persisted.

The next step for me is uninstalling OBS and re-downloading it, but wanted to come here and ask for some advice first.

Thanks much.

So I made a new scene and just added game capture as a source. It always picks up my desktop audio, but my mic is random. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt.

though older, still relevant OBS Audio related articles

And OBS Studio log only shows OBS Studio. It does not provide important details about your physical setup (how mic connected to PC, audio path setup (OS level, drivers, 3rd party software like nVidia noise cancelling, Realtek audio, etc) - all of which can have a huge impact
