Losing 100+ fps from opening obs

Hiya so only recently have I started streaming again and I noticed that I normally sit around 120-140 fps. But as soon as I open obs the frames plummet. I wouldn't say my pc is strong but it certainly strong enough to maintain my frames. With 40gbs of ram, an i9 9900 and a 1050ti. So is this a pc problem or am I doing something wrong? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.Attach files

Recognize that real-time video encoding is VERY computationally demanding.
So if your PC is busy with a game, then you add another HUGE workload, something has to give....

I recommend monitoring hardware resource (CPU, GPU, RAM, Disk I/O, etc) utilization [for ex. using Task manager’s Performance tab and/or Resource Monitor] to see if your system is being maxed out with your settings https://obsproject.com/wiki/General-Performance-and-Encoding-Issues and https://obsproject.com/wiki/GPU-overload-issues

with that said, there are plenty of options to optimize your PC (Operating System, game, etc) and OBS Studio to balance workloads
