loseless quality videofile

i recorded a video using "loseless quality" option in output settings. that made my video format .avi but it also cannot be opened by Adobe Premiere nor Sony Vegas. neither Windows Media Player was able to play the file. i was able to open it only with VLC media player but i need to edit this video. the sad part is i need this exact video too and i cannot just record it one more time with other settings

Have you tried DaVinci Resolve?
Or converting the video to a format one of your existing editors can/will use?

Make sure the utvideo codec is installed on the PC and/or supported by video editing software. Lossless video is encoded as utvideo.
