Question / Help Looking to Livestream

Hello OBS community, Thomas here. I am looking to start livestreaming, but I am needing to know if my current setup is capable of even livestreaming at all. Here are my specs ATM:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K @ 3.8 Ghz
Mobo: ASRock FM2A75M-DGS R2.0
CPU Cooling: Corsair H70
Graphics Card: MSI Radeon HD 7850 Twin Frozr III OC 2GB @Stock speeds
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport 4GBx2 @ 1600 Mhz

I honestly do not know what I can livestream with this setup. If i need to upgrade to AMD FX or something, I can do it. But it will take me time. Let me know what i can upgrade/tweak with this setup.

In general, give it a try, obs is free and you can test anything you want.
In special, which games do you want to stream? Playing on that same PC? What upload speed do you have available?

Yea I would definitely recommend to do a bit testing. Your upload is perfect to try doing a 720p 30fps stream with around 2000 to max 3000kbit bitrate. But it might be that your games are already stressing the cpu a bit too much to run this without lag.
In this case an upgrade to a i7 grade cpu should definitely help. If you really want to stay with AMD, probably an FX-8350.

I see, but IF in the case my CPU cannot handle it, and i gotta buy a new CPU/Mobo, will a 8320 do the job fine? Or is the 8350 more favored?
