Hi everyone! I'm hoping I can get some help with this issue. Whenever I have a long recording session, the file(s) output are saved as ".mp4.fsk" rather than ".mp4". Can you please explain why, and how I can fix this issue? It's really disappointing to find a file I can't edit or even view after putting 3 hours of work into it!!!!! Should I save as ".mov" or another file type? Or perhaps my settings are unbalanced or incorrect for my machine? If you believe it to be an issue with settings, please specify what I would need to look at so I can provide more information! I really want this issue fixed. It's very annoying! Thanks in advance.

Those files are not video files and are not created by OBS, they are created by Sony Vegas (and perhaps other editors too).

Thanks for the quick reply! It doesn't seem to help my situation though, because those sfk files are saving where my MP4 files should be saving to. Any suggestions on where I might be able to fix that? Also, does it create those files after being opened in Sony (I have movie studio platinum)? I never opened these files in Movie Studio, but they save as .sfk files. Only the ones over 90 minutes! It's really obnoxious.

Post a log.

Those sfk files contain waveform data from the audio tracks, obs has no need for them.

Okay, I wasn't sure which log file to grab since I tried a few different recording sessions with different settings over the day to try and solve the problem myself (to no avail). I just grabbed the largest file from the log folder dated yesterday. Hope this helps!

(ps, I have no clue of how to use the settings menu properly so don't be too shocked if everything is terrible lol)
