Hello,

Sorry for my (very) bad inglish, i'm french.

My Os: ventura 13.0.1 (last update)
OBS: 28.1.2 (last update to)
Laptop: MacBook Air M2

Well, i purchased a logitech Brio Pro theses last days, and i've a real problem with it in OBS: in 4K resolution, the cam lags soooo much !
In fact, the probleme is more complex that a "simple" lag. At the begging, all is ok. It "seems" ok, it's work perfectly, just a very little delay of maybe 500 ms, no more.
If i stay without mooving in front of the cam, the video is quite stable, no more delay. BUT, if moove "normaly", and particulary if i move the cam, it's a disater: many second of lag and delay appears. 10 mins latter it could be 10 seconds of delay !!!

In fact, in this situation this cam is absolutly not useable !!!

I repeat, it is not a simple problem like a "fix delay of 1 or 2 seconds", no, it continues to get worse.

I've even tested many USB-C to UBC-C cable, or UBC-C to USB-A, the problem is still there.

I make some search, and i found some old posts related with the brio and OSX problem, since several years !! my god, it'll be never fixed !!?? I read this for exemple: "The problem appears to be that Monterey is not offering up a jpeg-compress feed from logitech cameras. Only an uncompressed stream is offered. unfortunally this appeard to be a bug in Montery. The only workaround we're aware of so far is to not use a 4k Stream size"...
And LogiCapure is not again (so never in fact) compatible with AppleSilicon, so i can't use it.

And please, don't tell me to set the capture at a lower resolution to "solve" the problem. I bougt a 4k cam, it' not to use it in 1080p. It works on my Linux Mint PC perfectly.

Is there anyone who is able to use the Brio with OBS, in 4k mode ? ? I doubt it...

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

I purchased a Logitech Brio 4k Pro camera for live streaming my sons baseball games.
I ran into the same issue I could not get 4k resolution.
I tried loading the g hub software and the Logi tune software to see if I could get 4K resolution.
everything I read states the camera has to be plugged into a USB 3.0 port, so I disconnected usb-c to usb-c cable.
I decided to use a usb hub plugged into the Mac that has USB 3.0 ports and as soon as I plugged it in everything works as it should.
I now have 4K resolution etc.

I believe there is a firmware issue either with the Mac or Logitech but in any case supplying a USB 3.0 device for the camera did the trick.

My Os: Ventura 13.2.1 (last update)
OBS: 29.0.2 (last update to)
Laptop: MacBook M2 Pro

OMG This is just incredible. My camera was plugged into a USB 3.1 or 3.2 slot and had terrible lag plus low fps. I moved it to a 3.0 slot and it now works perfectly on 4K with 25 fps. Amazing, thanks so much ... a life saver tip.
