Hello there!

I got a problem with the quality of my local OBS files.

settings are: Encode x264, qualitty 10, max bitrate on both 15k

that should be everything for the settings. My recording is clear but its a bit .. colorless.. its not a 1 to 1 copy of the colors of my screen. Any suggestions?

The colorspace of your desktop is converted to be saved into a video file. This can slightly alter colors or make it look less "glowing". I think in the current state this is necessary for our main purpose of streaming. (Sending out rgb pictures would use a quite higher amount of bitrate)
Jim would have to comment on this, but there might be an option to use different color spaces in the future for local recordings. For streaming we will probably keep using YUV in 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. Tests showed that the flash player sometimes has problems with 4:4:4 input for example.
