I'm not sure if this is the right place, sorry if it isn't. Whenever I record something with OBS and import it into Sony Vegas it is all black and white, and I can't figure out how to fix it. I know it's not Sony Vegas because any other videos I import into it are not like this. Would appreciate any help possible.

If you haven't changed your output settings, your videos are coming out in FLV, which is not Sony Vegas ready. You can change it to MP4, so it's ready right after recording, but a LOT of people don't recommend that (I've personally never had problems, but people have so it's up to you to take the risk or not).

If you haven't changed it, you'll have to convert the file from FLV to some video format before it's compatible with SVP.

I had no issue with the MP4 format. I prefer it much over flash video.

Mp4 format has the advantage of natively working in Sony Vegas and other similar programs, but the disadvantage that if OBS crashes or doesn't save the file perfectly for any reason, the video file will be unusable. If you want to be sure to not lose the content you're capturing, then you should use flv and convert to mp4 afterwards.
