Question / Help Live Stream laggy, but recordings aren't.

Almost every game I try to livestream lags (the stream lags, not the game), even though my computer can easily handle the games. When I record, my recordings rarely have lag. Not sure if its a problem with my PC or my OBS settings. Please help :(

You're trying to record and stream using the same settings, and you're trying to use recording settings. That's not going to work well outside of a lan-only streaming environment.

If you want to stream at suitable settings for streaming while recording at indistinguishable quality settings, you MUST use studio.

I don't want to record and stream at the same time, I just want to stream. What settings do you recommend I use?

Create a new profile in obs and follow this guide for settings.

You should be using studio anyway, it hasn't been getting any meaningful updates in about a year now.
