Hi all,
Sorry if this is a dumb question. I'm new to live video production and planning a live stream setup for a small church. I'm in the planning phases and and haven't actually started using OBS yet. I have searched and found various references to projectors with OBS, but everything I've found has to do with sending the live feed to projectors, and I'm wanting to do something a bit different.
I need to push slides to the church projectors, and I want to also stream live video to Facebook or YouTube. I'm planning to use a PTZ camera with RTSP feed into OBS for the live video.
We currently drive the projectors from a Powerpoint slide deck. Is it practical to drive the projector slides AND live stream from the same workstation?
Ideally I would drive the slide deck from the OBS workstation to the projector via 2nd display HDMI. I think this setup would allow me to also insert the slides into the live stream and/or inset PIP.
If I were to drive the slides from another laptop, I think I would need a video capture device to bring that into the OBS workstation, right?
Or is there some better option I'm overlooking?
Thanks,
Walter
