Question / Help Live stream encoding issues

Hey forum!

I seem to be having a problem live streaming GW2. When I attempt to stream it goes smoothly at first, my fps sitting at around 60 and the stream itself looking pretty smooth. But every few minutes my fps drops to about 5 and everything gets really laggy. There's a notice at the bottom of the obs app that says something like "WARNING: Taking too long to encode. Skipping frames". I'm having a feeling that it's a hardware issue, but I always thought that an 8350 cpu would be ideal for streaming. I tried down scaling and lowering all settings like mad but it always yields the same results. Are there any known fixes for this?

Well you are using a test build, have you tried the more stable builds and see if that fixed ur issue?

I have tried other builds but unfortunately i've had the same results.

It almost seems like something is getting throttled. Check your CPU/GPU temps next time you stream. Also check to make sure you don't have any overly paranoid/hefty Antivirus running that might be chewing up system resources.

since gw2 is actually gpu intense and you are running with a 560 ... 560 is defently fine offstream

might consider lowering your graphics settings as a try if thats fixing anything

My cpu temp sits at around 35-40C and my gpu at 50C. I'll definitely check about the antivirus part of that.

I've even tried lowering the settings almost all the way but I still get the encoding issues ;w;

EDIT: So I even tried turning off my antivirus and my encoding problems are still there.

I know right? In regards to the throttling comment above: How can I prevent something like that from happening?These problems started when I switched my cpu from the amd 8150 to the amd 8350 and put on the corsair h80i water cooler if that helps any.

Live stream encoding issues is very old know i think u should resolve that
