Hello,
I'm experiencing a strange issue with my AVerMedia Live Gamer ULTRA 2.1 that only occurs in OBS Studio.
## System
- OBS Studio 32.2.1 (64-bit)
- Windows 11 Home 26H2
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070
- Intel Core Ultra 5 245KF
- MSI Z890-W WIFI (MS-7E34)
- AVerMedia Live Gamer ULTRA 2.1
## Problem
While using the capture card in OBS, the preview randomly becomes choppy for a few seconds, as if the frame rate suddenly drops. After a few seconds, it returns to normal.
The timing is completely random.
Because the OBS preview becomes choppy, the exact same stuttering is also visible in recordings and livestreams.
## Comparison
The exact same capture card, cables, and game console worked perfectly on my previous mouse desktop PC.
This issue only started after I moved to my new GALLERIA desktop PC.
## Other Software
On the same PC, the capture card works perfectly in:
- AVerMedia RECentral
- AVerMedia StreamCenter
- Windows Camera app
All of these applications remain perfectly smooth.
Only OBS has this problem.
## What I already tested
- Tried multiple USB ports directly on the motherboard
- Tried different Video Capture Device settings in OBS (buffering, resolution/FPS settings, etc.)
- Updated OBS to the latest version
- Updated NVIDIA GPU driver
- Updated motherboard drivers
None of these changed the behavior.
## Question
Since the capture card works correctly in RECentral, StreamCenter, and the Windows Camera app on the same PC, but only OBS has this problem, could this be an OBS compatibility issue with my current hardware or Windows configuration?
Has anyone experienced something similar or knows what else I should test?
Sorry for my English. I used a translator.
Thank you for your help.
