Hello,

I cant seem to find a way to increase the volume of the line in of my live gamer HD.

When the sound comes from my gaming PC to my capture PC it is significantly quieter.
I have 2 sounds cards on my gaming PC.
I pipe the sound to my onboard card from my aftermarket and use the line out from the onboard into the capture cards line in.
Somewhere in here the volume becomes quieter.
In OBS I use device audio only and not to desktop.

Tl:dr Is there a way to control the volume of the line in of the Avermedia live gamer HD.

Desktop boost does not help.

First question, one or two pc setup?
One PC setup: Why do you not record the sound right away with OBS?
Two PC setup: Why do you pipe the sound through your onboard and send it to the Capture Card? Just split it right when it comes out of your aftermarket card and test if the Line-In of your second PC is better than the Line-In of the Live Gamer HD.

To manage the sound you have the volume slider in the settings of your Live Gamer HD (if you keep using that sound option).

Thank you for the reply,

I've reconsidered the audio option I was using. It is a 2 pc setup and I am now using the HDMI audio to bring across both Microphone and Desktop. The NEW problem is that desktop sound is perfect but my microphone is in the left ear only. Any ideas?

Thank you!

I should mention my card is an Asus Xonar Essence STX.
In my quest to find a solution I was playing in the xonor audio center. When I turn on vocal cancelation in the Karaoke setting if I max no voice my mic audio then plays through both ears and if I put it at 50% it switches earphone. This doesn't work as a solution though as it affects desktop audio as well.

When using the microphone in skype the audio is in both sides for people listening to me in the call.
When I listen to it in my speakers its on one side(left) as well as when I send it to the avermedia HDMI.

Hmm in OBS you can activate the checkbox "Force Microphone/Auxillary to Mono" and see if that helps your Microphone.
But if you send the Microphone sound over together with the HDMI sound you will probably want to check the Windows Audio settings. See if you can set your Microphone to Mono there or if it is set to mono, try setting it to stereo.

I've combed over the windows settings and cant find an option to correct it.
I should mention that this is a condenser microphone and on my audio card it is a line-in input. Even when I set the microphone to microphone in windows settings it still comes across in one ear.
