Question / Help Live Gamer HD Audio Issue

Hello. I use a 2 pc setup for streaming. The streambox uses the Live Gamer HD. For console streaming I use an rca to line-in cable for audio. However, for pc streaming I only have the card itself via HDMI to use. The audio doesn't seem to get picked up by OBS at all and there's no option for it as well. I was wondering maybe I'm missing something or OBS doesn't detect and playback the audio from this capture card?

Thank you for your time. Also I really love this program so far. Only a few things it doesn't have to which I use with xsplit. Please do keep up the good work! :P

Audio from some devices currently doesn't get picked up -- avermedia being one of them. Going to try to fix it asap after I release the version I'm working on.

Ahh ok thank you. Once that is resolved and i guess ability to crop and do color corrections like xsplit does. I will officially be converterd to OBS hehe. By the way whenever you work on it will you release it in a daily build first? I usually check for daily builds to test out the recent still in testing changes that comes with them.

I.. completely forgot I had the daily build thing. I suppose there's no point at the moment because my current code is too unstable anyway.

I understand. However, a daily build isn't meant to be stable. It is merely a test build regardless of how stable/unstable it is. However, if u see a daily build being somewhat stable it's always worth a try. A daily build is known to be unstable and purely for testing purposes. Won't fully know how stable it is until testing from others have been initiated. That's the point of test builds after all. I tend to test your daily builds to see how stable it is in my operations.

I'm perfectly fine with testing daily builds. As I have been testing daily builds since this month/last month. I'm fine with informing you how stable a daily build is. I think i'll join the IRC chat you recently made to help out. I really enjoy what you have done so far from daily to stable version releases.

Well i know how it can be with coding etc. When you feel a daily build is somewhat stable I'll be glad to test and report my experience from it. For the record so far even daily builds have been stable for the most part. If you decide to make a daily build in the near future I'll be sure to post my experience from it.

I must say once again I'm very satisfied with your efforts in providing a convenient and free application for streamers to stream. So far every build I have tested has deemed pretty stable for the most part. I don't have to really worry about my streambox crashing unlike xsplit for example with streaming. Thank you so much for providing us with an alternative for stream programs. ^-^

No no, thank you, and everyone as well for helping test it out and get rid of these bugs.

I should probably clarify - my current development build is currently both incomplete and unstable, haven't even written a localization file for the new plugin, and there's this bug where the source can occasionally go like 6 million miles off screen, and some fullscreen games currently have 0x0 size. I just finished adding the rest of the supported APIs (although going to wait on directdraw because so many old games are paletted or 16bit and it's just sort of messy), so I'm almost complete with the first version which I'll post as a test build before releasing. I would post it once I feel it's in a "testable" state, don't worry

Ahh ok understansable. I know how I am with certain things similar to this. Welp once a daily build is out regardless if it's to fix the audio issue I'll still test it out as I have been doing. I haven't had an issue with the daily test builds so far and was console streaming so that's why I haven't posted until now. As recently i started pc streaming with my 2 pc setup and noticed the audio issue. All daily builds I've tested so far never gave me an issue. Kudos to you once again with this project. I'll be testing once you release more daily test builds.

As well as thank you. You are saving MANY people from having to resort to paying for xsplit monthly/yearly. I'd honestly be willing to pay for this program. If you do setup a donation page I will donate in the future as it is well deserved, Thank you so much for providing us streamers with a much simpler, less hassle, and cost effective solution. ^-^
