live captions generator

Is the live captions generator active yet? We got the program to recognize the camera and had 2 successful facebook live streams of Bible class and service but no captions for our deaf and hard of hearing. Text (free type 2) is what is in the sources box. The other Text generator has no options for inclusion in the sources (I'm guessing it's for a separate encoder). Thanks.

The auto-captions (experimental) and RatWithACompiler's closed-caption plugin send embedded captions, and rely on the player on the viewer's end to support them.
If you're looking for baked-in hard-subtitles, there are several websites that offer auto-captioning solutions.

All of the Closed Captioning in OBS relies on the SendCaptions function in OBS. This function has issues not conforming to the CEA-608 standard. About the only thing it works on right now is Twitch. OBS doesn't do Closed Captioning
