Question / Help Live Audio Sync Issue?

I posted before with sync issues and nobody seemed to be able to figure it, largely since the bug report thing is pointless due the issue changing with every boot... well they continue since my move to Windows 10. The issue is the camera is delayed, this is forcing my mic to need adjusting.

Now GENERALLY 50-100ms will be in sync when I hit Start Recording (its different everytime I boot OBS unfortunately, or if I switch scenes it resets again and has to be changed sometimes up to 300ms). However I'm not massively concerned there as I can edit it in post. BUT the biggest issue I have is when I hit Start Streaming... it has a totally different sync here, last stream I was up to 400ms and still the audio was way to early.

Why is the sync different on recording than streaming and why does closing and reopening the program completely change where the sync needs adjusting too? As a reasonable sized fulltime Youtuber, this is absolutely murdering my quantity of videos. I spend 2-3 hours a day fighting with this :(

Using the C920 currently using the x264 encoder, should I switch to Nvidia NVENC H264 or Nvidia NVENC H264 (new) or H264/AVC Encoder (AMD Framework). I just followed a guide when moving to the advanced set up and honestly all my issues kinda began then (did it at the same time as moving to Windows 10)

I don't understand what mode your camera is working in, not what you encode.
The possibilities are as follows:
RGB24 - raw
YUY2 - raw
MJPEG - multi jpeg
H.264

H.264 and MJPEG are compressed, which means they need time for compression and decompression, raw formats are usually uncompressed and have the least latency.

Oh right my bad. C920 is only giving me H264 or MJPEG options, nothing elseis in the drop down, so its currently set to "Any"

Ok on my Twitch profile I can find YUY2 which gives me the most lagged out preview ever, my Youtube one doesn't have it weirdly. Mjpeg seems to give the smoothest performance. But after recording a few takes, it gradually lags itself out. I'm on the verge of just going back to Windows 8.1, never had a single problem there but Windows 10 has been nothing but a nightmare
