Hey all,
Im totally new to Linux, so this is gonna be a little rough.
Ive scoured the interwebs about anything related to streaming from a VPS. What i've found is that from a windows box, you need to make sure it has a GPU and DX11 compatible (i think). The problem with that is the cost.
What i want to do is run a 24/7 stream, BUT, it will only be pushing out pre-recorded content.
Ive seen people talk about using nginx & OBS, but everything ive seen suggests that they are using OBS from their home computer to stream to the VPS, nginx brings it in and spits it out as a regular stream.
I guess my long winded question is; If I just want to upload "Youtube" videos to the server and have OBS play them in a loop, do i still need a server with a GPU or ..... ?
Any and all help with this would be greatly appreciated!
