Question / Help Line In from Capture Card not working in OBS?

I've got my capture card plugged in, line going into the "LINE IN" port for audio to be captured. I've tried a few different things and now that I've selected the capture card LINE IN as a mic/aux device in the audio settings, added it as a source, you'd think it would work, but I've tested it and I get NO signal that it's working.

Here's the log followed by applicable images: https://gist.github.com/a8aecc5d36e1e05e350d6a166399823e

I've selected capture card line in as an audio device : https://flic.kr/p/XxHHFC

Made it a source as you can see and it's there with other audio : https://flic.kr/p/XTD187

lastly, see that I've selected the LINE IN avermedia lghd2 as the device in the source options... : https://flic.kr/p/XTD18h

Any thoughts? I think it might have to do with the LINE IN Avermedia device in my recording devices in windows saying "Currently Unavailable" even though it's able to be selected as my default recording device (i've changed my audiotechnica atr2500 to default communication device and it still works in OBS so I think that's fine and I'll leave it)

After finding the following url helping someone with a similar issue "currently unavailable" I'm looking at my "mux" as it's called and I have no bars beside the LINE in device... Could this be an issue? Any idea how to resolve it so I can capture game audio through my HDMI ports on my capture card and capture game audio on the LINE IN PORT? I thought that's how it was designed - initially with the idea of them working as passthroughs - hdmi in to capture from console, then out to a tv or monitor, and controller audio cable out to line in and then out to a headset so you could capture game chat of a console?

In any case, here are my devices : https://flic.kr/p/WT2GPE

and here's the url I was reading about 'mux' https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/F...unavailable?forum=windowspro-audiodevelopment

Okay, I think I got it sorted (but not a real solution). I've turned off the settings to use LGHD2 line in, and plugged the cable into my mobo's LINE IN, activated that, set it up as the source, and now it's fine and because of the audio cable loop, it records my own chat through the headset mic very low, but captures everything going through the headset line excellently. Thanks everyone for your help.....
