Hello, I have a Lenovo y40-70 computer and I felt the specs were more than enough to be used as a streaming PC to do all of the work with encoding and be able to stream 720p60 on x264 on very fast. Before, it would work flawlessly. Now all of a sudden o get a high CPU encoding and now it's gotten to the point where I cannot use x264 at all. Any ideas as to why? The specs for the computer is an Intel core i74500u quad core (using all Threads) and 8gb RAM. Used soley as a streaming PC I thought it would be enough.

For the most part I believe it's cool. The only thing I see that's odd and throws me off is the disk usage. And ever since Windows 10 dropped its been abnormally high. But if it's the CPU temp, do I need to a fan cooler that the computer sits on? Or how would I go about lowering the temperature. And thank you for helping. Even if it's little help.

Something obviously changed in your PC to cause a change in computing environment.
Think about what software applications or hardware devices you added or updated recently.

Any software being auto updated?
Are you playing another type of game or application that is more taxing on your computer system?

Only you are going to know these changes.

That mobile-class CPU is not powerful enough for 720p60fps, You'll need to turn settings down in OBS, or lighten the load on the PC some other way.
