launch parameters - please help - I need to specify audio device

I have OBS programmed to run regularly as a Windows scheduled task. it's important that the audio is always picked up from my USB sound source, which is the Windows default input device, identified as "Microphone Array (USB PnP Audio Device)". Sadly, from time to time, OBS seems to lose this device from its Mic/Auxiliary Audio setting. I think it happens after a Windows update, even though the connected USB audio device is the Windows default. Would it be possible to specify the audio input device (for Mic/Auxiliary Audio 1) as a launch parameter? I'd be so grateful if such a parameter could be added.

In case anyone is interested - I am trying a solution suggested by ChatGPT:

Force stability via Advanced Audio (more robust)​

Instead of relying on global Mic/Aux:

1. Add your mic as a source:
   • “Audio Input Capture”
   • Set it to Default
2. Use that source in your scene(s)

This is more stable than Mic/Aux and less likely to reset.
