Latency Viewer and Auto-Bit rate adjustment

It would be nice if OBS had a built in ping of some sort so you could ping a server and look at your network health in real time. I currently use a command line ping google.com -t to do this, but it would be nice if OBS did something like this by default.

I don't know if it's possible, but could the bit rate for OBS be changed in real time? Some of us have internet connections with bandwidth that fluctuates. So if say our unpload bandwidth goes down, it would lower our bandwidth by some predefined ratio. Azureues (Vuze) actually has something like this built in to deal with changing network conditions and it's pretty slick. So if you have a server that is constantly pinged, you can tell when your connection is getting overloaded (as latency increases by a certain amount that deviates from the average). Google.com pings are usually rock steady no matter where you go, so it provides a pretty meaningful and accurate baseline.

This sort of happened a while back, although not currently automatic - you can now change your bitrate while streaming.
