I record/stream games and have never had an issue when I'm using emulators or my capture card for my Switch. It's only when I get into more graphic intensive games that I suddenly start to see problems. The games all work fine when I play them, but as soon as OBS turns on, and if I try to actually record or stream, I get tons of choppiness, freezes, and there's often this sporadic static kind of popping noise in my audio which is followed by the audio cutting in and out in the footage.
I've gone through any helpful settings changes I've read or watched videos on, but can't understand why it's still happening. My CPU usage doesn't even go up high at all. When I first opened a game it jumped from aroud 4-5% to 30% but then quickly came back down. This is according to task manager.
It's a new computer (got it around october), and my specs are all in the log. Is my hardware just not capable of more demanding games, or am I doing something wrong?
Any help is appreciated!
