Question / Help Laptop user, black screen problem

Hi, so I read the stickies about the laptop issues, and I have tried setting my higher end graphics card as the global operator for the laptop, and did it specifically for OBS as well. (Went to Nvidia control panel/3D settings/manage 3D settings/global settings. And then I set it to the higher end graphics card, I also made sure the games were using the same graphics card too) However when I tried to game capture games such as: HoN and DotA 2, it gave me the unfortunate black screen of death still. Note, monitor capture works fine, but game capture doesn't. :(

Oh, nice window capture does work nicely too, well if this setting works fine and is not laggy for my laptop it'll be problem solved, I just asked cause I know on my PC the game capture works fine. Also I have heard that the game capture is supposedly better?

Window Capture with Aero enabled will be the same performance as game capture. Game Capture has the added benefit of being able to capture games in fullscren, but that comes at the cost of compatibility problems with some systems and games because of how it has to hook in to the game's process(es).
