Hey dudes, trust me I'm doing my due diligence when it comes to searching and reading...but it's all just a very new thing to me.
I'm going to be doing a lot more traveling to the different events for us nerds, PAX prime, Twitchcon, etc. I'm looking at ordering a laptop so I can stream while at said events.
Basically, the laptop will have an i7 4720hq, or an i7 5700hq, a gtx980m, blah blah. Should be fine for games.
I would, however, like to pull the ABSOLUTE maximum production quality I can out of my stream, so I'm looking to build a small dedicated streaming PC to accompany it, because from what I understand this would be the best way to maximize both stream quality and pull the max frames I can in games. So a mini ITX or Micro ATX based box...
So here are a few of my questions,
1. Do I also need a capture card, to link these PCs? Like consoles do? or an HDMI splitter or something? or does OBS still accomplish capturing gameplay and delivering it to the stream box? I'm very confused on this exact process in particular.
2. Can I build a stream box small enough to fit in a carry on (say, one of those small wheeled carry-on suitcases)
3. Is there any reason to use Micro ATX over Mini ITX, since the mini ITX is smaller?
I'm reading various guides and threads, but each one leads me to more questions...so I figured maybe I could find more direct help through some questions here.
Appreciate any time taken to read through this
