Question / Help Laptop keeps stuttering, loud static sound when streaming.

Hello, I am a new streamer and having problems diagnosing a periodic, loud stuttering when I stream. Without OBS on, it's prefect, but when I load OBS, it will stutter (very badly, I might add) during certain parts of game play. Here are my PC specs:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2670QM CPU @ 2.20GHz 2.20 GHz
RAM: 12.0 GB
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M
Internet Speed: 40 down, 5 up.

Any help is appreciated. I've read that my PC speccs should be just fine to stream, so it's really frustrating.

Your CPU seems to be on it's limits (you have a bunch of duplicated frames) depending on the game state.

Also, try to reduce the camera resolution to something like 1280x768 or even lower (depending on the size you show it on your stream even 640x480 can be enough), 1080p will produce a lot of strain and usually does not work well with OBS.

The noise is hard to pin down without a VoD. Maybe you have your Webcam as sound input capturing the fan noise?

So the noise is only heard through my speakers. The VoD I watched shows only the stutter, and not the loud static noise.

Do you think taking a reduction in game graphics would help?

Reduce your camera resolution, it will lower the stress already, maybe it's enough.
Else you need to lower game settings or downscale streaming resolution more to reduce the load on your computer.
